Music is an integral part of worship at First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn, and we are blessed to have rich musical talent to give voice to our faith. Whether you prefer traditional, well-loved hymns or contemporary Christian music, you will find what you're looking for in our service that includes blended musical styles.

Oasis praise band starting worship at GEUMC.

Worship begins with Oasis, our praise team, helping us prepare our hearts and minds with thought-provoking contemporary music. Throughout the service, both traditional hymns and soon-to-be favorites are incorporated, expertly accompanied on FUMC's majestic pipe organ or grand piano. The Chancel Choir provides our offertory, lifting their voices in a variety of musical styles, from classical to gospel, and everything in between.

We mark important occasions in the church calendar with song, as well. The Christmas Cantata combines music and storytelling, preparing the way for our celebration of Jesus's birth. On Good Friday, you will be moved by the choir's presentation of Tenebrae: Light of the World, followed by the joy-filled music offered on Easter Sunday.

Please join us! Chancel Choir rehearses Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. in room 302 on the third floor and Sunday mornings from 9-9:45 a.m. in the sanctuary.
